This tool by the Copyright Advisory Network of the American Library Association should help you understand and evaluate the "fairness" of a use under the U.S. Copyright Code. The tool will document your efforts to determine fairness of the use and create a time-stamped pdf document for your records. (NOTE: I have not actually officially used this tool, but I plan to do so.)

Clay Shirkey, author of "Here Comes Everybody," examines the challenge posed to U.S. higher education by massive open online courses, or MOOCs. Shirkey is the author of "Here Comes Everybody," a book he says is about "what happens when people are given the tools to do things together, without needing traditional organizational structures." In this article, he describes the same dynamic at work in the disruptive potential of MOOCs to all but the most elite institutions of higher education in America. 

This article makes a smart distinction between students' abilities to accomplish a task online (which may be overstated) and their framework for critically evaluating that task, and the tool they use.

Vitae's new syllabus database is a very limited tool - it's only searchable by file name, author name, and the disciplinary keywords chosen by the author. Still, it's a good step to see the Chronicle of Higher Ed providing a space for open syllabi. Worth a look as you plan next year's courses, or think about your own online presence!

Interesting online tool for examining your perspectives on teaching (broken down into beliefs, intentions, and actions). The guidance to have a specific type of course or student in mind seems powerful; are you a different teacher for majors and non-majors, first-years and seniors?

With Kenyon's ArcGIS Online organizational account, story maps are one tool available to you for presenting spatial pedagogical lessons to your students. I suggest exploring the Gallery and Storytelling Apps links
